In order for a business to grow strong and remain healthy, management must consistently make informed decisions regarding operations and financial matters.  Owners of closely held businesses often have the requisite entrepreneurial skill, but sometimes lack either the time or the ability necessary to adequately address business finances.  Some businesses lack the resources or the need to hire a full-time financial officer or controller.  As a result, decisions regarding business finances, strategies and procedures are often not addressed in a proper or timely manner.
